WHY DO YOU HAVE ALL THESE MEASUREMENTS; I'M CONFUSED?
The measurements and the politics outlined below are an attempt to be inclusive to queers of all body types and (dis)abilities. BENT actively support a range of radical queer disability politics and fat positive spaces.

THE PARTY:
The party is $5 and starts at 9pm. This charge is so we can pay our artists, dj's, door people, and photographers a living and sustainable wage for their art. Although it is unlikely that you will be turned away for lack of funds- you will be turned away for unwillingness to share ample funds.

The parties capacity is 200 people. We suggest coming early to avoid being turned away due to over capacity.


GETTING THERE:
Foggy Notion is on 3416 N Lombard which is located on Lombard between N Peninsular and N Columbia Park on the south side of the street. It is a blue 2-story building directly across the street from the Mock Crest Tavern. There is one handicapped parking space on the west side of the building. The tri-met 75 bus line runs right next to it and the nearest bus line after that is the 35. Nearest Tri-Met Max Station is the Yellow Line on Interstate.

PARKING:
There are 4 spaces in the Foggy Notion parking lot and there is 1 handicapped parking spot on the grounds. The rest of the parking is street parking.

THE SPACE:
The Foggy Notion is dimly lit during BENT. The walls of the venue are a low glare matte grey. Other than the dance floor, the venue is a low pile carpet. The space between the wall and low bar where the water jug is gives a 3'7" clearance. The distance from the floor to the small bar and water jug is 3'5". You can access the backdoor by going around that hallway in an area that has a clearance of 5'

ENTRANCE AND BAR
The floor to bar height is 3'8". There is a very high glare bar top.

The entry hallway is 4' wide with a door that is 3'3" wide. This door is a pull door and is relatively heavy and wooden. The door handle is 4” from the ground.


DANCE FLOOR:
The dance floor area is 12'10" by 10'. It is a wooden high slip floor. There are 2 very loud speakers at the DJ end of the dance floor.


PHOTOBOOTH/LOTTO AREA
The doorway to the photo-booth area is 2'7" wide.

CHAIRS
The small bar has 2 to 3 stools with no arms that are 2'4" high. The big bar has about 9 of those same stools. There are about 14 low chairs without arms that are mid-level sturdy. There are 2 rounded booths with about a 2'2" clearance between the booth back and the table in the middle. The table is movable.

BACK DOOR AREA/PATIO
The back door is 2'8" wide. There is an ADA handle that is 3'2" from the floor and opens onto an unfinished concrete floored hallway. The hallway leads to a door that is up (2) 1'8" steps. That door is always open during BENT. The back patio has 3 picnic tables with no backed benches that are about 1'3" from the ground. There is a 1'2" clearance from the bench to the table. The picnic tables are pretty sturdy and wood.

BATHROOMS:
There are 2 non-gendered bathrooms.

BATHROOM 1:
The one closest to the back door, we will call this Bambi bathroom as there is a Bambi picture in there. It has a door that is 2'5" wide. The distance from the floor to the handle is 3'3" and it is a non-ADA door knob. There is a distance of 3'8" from the floor to the latch door lock. There is a regular flush toilet, flush on the side with a distance of 2'5" from the floor to the flush. There are no bathroom bars. The toilet seat is 1'6" from the ground. The sink height and towel dispenser height is 3'4". The light switch is 4'5" from the ground. There is a low glare matte green paint on the walls and a low glare tile floor.

BATHROOM 2:
The second bathroom or chandelier bathroom has a high glare chandelier in it with matte blue walls and linoleum floors. The distance from the floor to the towel dispenser is 5" and to the sink is 3'5". The floor to toilet height is 1'6", floor to door knob is 3' and floor to door lock is 4'7".

Both of these bathrooms have SoftSoap soap.

There is a small hallway leading to the bathroom that has a clearance of 2'3".

***POLITICS OF THE SPACE:***
This is a queer and queer-admirers party. We are anti-racist, body-positive, sex positive, queer-as fuck freaky radicals who strive to create an environment of respect, celebration, and fun in our parties.

Therefore, disrespectful, belligerent, heterosexist, misogynist, transphobic, abelist, fat phobic, racist, and/or violent behavior is not welcome and those who exhibit it will be asked to leave immediately.

The party is $3-5 depending on our performers. This charge is so we can pay our artists, dj's, door people, and photographers a living and sustainable wage for their art.
