For those of you who have not heard of the infamous BOOTY nights at the old PORKY's on Lombard (once Urge, now the Eagle known to many as PURGLE), nights where many Queer folx gathered in a space with performance, beats, bodies, and so many it was elbow to elbow with sweaty hot madness!
When BOOTY ended it was a huge moment for many of us who were use to the weekly North Portland Homo hangout, a place where Bears, Dykes, Gender Benders, Queens & Kings and many more could be seen! There's never been anything like it since, and truth be told from the ashes of BOOTY rose BLOWPONY!
One of our founders moved here from the UK and the decision to stay in Portland was mainly based off of what was happening and witnessed at this amazing Queer night (so many things it needs it's own page), at the time there was only a few nights around town, now we're very privileged to have so many Queer mixers and honestly I think BOOTY paved the way for many of our sissy socials!

Sissyboy did drag unconventionally in various bars in Portland for three years at some point in the 2000s. It was magically f*cked up and gave a lot of people a lot to talk about. The most common excuse the troupe of "performers" used for the monthly shows was "to work out our demons on stage." Mostly it was just an excuse to look pretty, Pretty Ugly.
