The Ladies of Lager and Ale (LOLA) and Oregon's and SW Washington’s best Female home brewers team up with Her HRC (Human Rights Campaign) to gather women and allies to both celebrate and build a greater sense of community, while learning about the importance of engaging in the LGBT civil rights movement.
Although men dominate the brewing industry, history tells us that brewing was traditionally a woman's job. As craft brewing becomes more and more popular, it has become indisputable that women both appreciate and brew great beer. What better way to celebrate national women’s history month than with a Her HRC Membership tasting event with LOLA.
This Saturday afternoon member's event will feature samples from home brewers and an assortment of local craft brewers. You will be able to vote on your favorite home brew with your favorite home brewer winning the opportunity to brew locally on a commercial system. You will also learn more about women in brewing and the important work of the Human Rights Campaign.
