A special evening with Howard Lyman

NW VEG and UU Animal Ministries are pleases to bring Howard Lyman to town for a special evening talk. Lyman, a former 4th generation cattle rancher turned vegan advocate, will tell his story on what lead him to completely change his life. This free event, open to everybody and part of the 22 Day VEG Challenge, will be held in the Buchan Reception Hall of the Eliot Center, 1011 SW 12th Ave, Portland. Howard Lyman has authored 2 books, Mad Cowboy in 1998 and No More Bull in 2005 as well as 4 DVDs. He has been featured in many films, including Peaceable Kingdom (2009), Vegucated (2011), and Cowspiracy (2014). He is a former President of EarthSave, A former President of the International Vegetarian Union, winner of the Peace Abbey Courage of Conscience Award (1997), and inducted into the Vegetarian Hall of Fame (2002). He is an engaging, funny, and thoughtful speaker. Come hear why this former Montana farmer now says that the proper amount of meat in anyone's diet is zero.
