* LGBTQ classes are a safe and supportive learning environment specifically for LGBTQ community members to develop skills.
A garden bench, a plant stand, or maybe a catch-all next to the front door - using a very simple design and reclaimed lumber available in class, youâll make a basic table or bench while gaining skills and confidence to use in future DIY projects.
Skill level: This class is built for beginners.

Class fees & donations: All class fees include materials. Want to throw a little extra in to support our scholarships? Thereâs a donation option at registration to add any amount that you want to pay forward. A donation receipt will be included with your registration confirmation email.
Scholarships: Limited scholarships are offered on every class registration page, and are generously supported by fellow students. Please accept this gift if you need it. Our only request is to limit yourself to one scholarship every 2-3 months to keep these opportunities widely available.
Refund policy: We currently do not offer refunds or transfers between classes. You may, however, transfer your ticket to another person who is 18 or older. If you need help finding someone to take your spot, you are welcome to post in the class event on our FB page, or ask us to share your email address with the class waitlist.

Other FAQs
What is your refund policy? We currently do not offer refunds or transfers between classes. You may, however, transfer your ticket to anyone 18 or older. If you need help finding someone to take your spot, consider posting on the relevant class event on our FB page. At your request, weâd also be glad to share your email address with the class waitlist.
How do I transfer my ticket to someone else? You can either log in to your EventBrite account and edit the attendee info on your registration, or email us at education@rebuildingcenter.org with 1) the date and name of the class, and 2) first name, last name, and email address of the person youâd like to transfer your ticket to.
When and where to arrive? Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before class to settle in and be ready to go! Come in through our administrative entrance (red door across from StormBreaker Brewing and just north of our donation drop-off area.) Signs inside the entrance will guide you to the ReFind Workshop.
What to bring/not to bring? For your personal safety, please wear closed-toe shoes, tie long hair back, and avoid any dangling jewelry or baggy clothing. You may also want to bring a water bottle and a snack�.
How about public transportation/parking options? The #4 bus stops within a block of the ReBuilding Center. The Yellow Max Line (Overlook Park stop) is about a 15 minute walk away.� Thereâs also parking available on the surrounding streets.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket? No - we'd prefer to save a few trees! We can look up registration details electronically if need be.
Is there an age limit? All our classes are 18+ unless otherwise indicated in the class description.
